Authored a policy brief entitled “Planning for Woodland and Forest Canopy Protection in Urban Areas” (March 2012), as part of curriculum for the Department of Environmental Studies. The paper demonstrates environmental, social and political aspects of urban forestry, and reveals some of the current policies and practices around the protection of urban ecology.
Co-authored research paper entitled “Proposed Redevelopment of Oxbow Park” (June 2011) for university credit. The report demonstrates competency in the use of surveys and interview methods, biophysical and human research methods, and the analysis of data with the primary goal of promoting environmental sustainability. The report also demonstrates skills using photography, illustrations, and tables to support communications of scientific information.
